To convert electric power (watts) to current (amps) based on the voltage and current type. If you are working with DC, Single phase AC or Three phase AC. Our tool will handle these calculations easily.
Formula Used:
- For DC: Amps = Watts ÷ Volts
- For AC (Single Phase): Amps = Watts ÷ Volts
- For AC (Three Phase):
- Line-to-Line Voltage: Amps = Watts ÷ (√3 × Volts)
- Line-to-Neutral Voltage: Amps = Watts ÷ (3 × Volts)
Important Notes:
- Check voltage input is accurate and non-zero to get the exact result.
- Milliamps result is also avalaible in this tool, because some users may need it
- (resistive load). Here we have assumed power factor of 1
Common Use Cases:
- Panel design for various devices
- Power supply sizing for appliances
- Understanding the power consumption of devices
